The Connecticut Nurses’ Foundation is pleased to announce the inception of the Licensed Practical Nurse scholarship.
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Licensed Vocational Nurse, is responsible for providing basic medical attention to patients and assessing their wellbeing as part of a larger medical team. Their duties are critical and include checking vital signs, recording a patient’s medical history and assisting patients with hygiene.
Criteria for the LPN Scholarship:
- Citizen of the state of Connecticut
- An applicant who have worked in healthcare
- Applicant has been ACCEPTED into an LPN program accredited within the State of CT.
- High School students can not apply.
Process for Scholarship Application:
All applications must include:
- Application form
- Submission of an unofficial academic transcript from current academic institution with the knowledge of knowing an official academic transcript will be required if awarded a scholarship
- Nursing/Healthcare Reference completed by professor, teacher, supervisor or other academic or professional contact. Must be from someone in the nursing profession.
All applications and letters of recommendation must typed and be submitted by April 15th.
